What the Heck is a PDB?
PDB (abbreviation): Pre-Departure Beverage. A beverage, typically alcoholic, offered to passengers traveling in first or business class on an airline shortly after they have boarded the aircraft, prior to gate departure. This service is extended to premium passengers to enhance their in-flight experience, often as a gesture of hospitality, while passengers in economy class are still in the process of boarding.
